The Grain Store
Food is at the heart of The Grain Store – on the table you will always find thoughtfully sourced, simply prepared food that’s best enjoyed in good company. We take our lead from our location. Our menus move with the seasons, telling stories of our region.
Take a look around
Our history and surroundings have inspired the look and design of every corner of the Main House, Grain Store, bedrooms and outdoor spaces. Settle in at Bolding’s Bar, lose yourself in a book in the library, or enjoy a game or two in the games room. There’s always a place to make yourself at home.
Reception
Whatever you need, you’ll find a friendly face at reception. Looking for local tips? Directions to the beach? Or just a great spot for a walk? The team are there to help – and always happy to chat.
Bedrooms
Whatever brings you here, we want you to feel at home. We have 28 bedrooms, choose from bed and breakfast to seasonal offers and experience packages, there will be something to suit you and we’ll take care of the rest. So, all you have to do is settle in and make the most of your time away.
The Library
Sink into a sofa with the Sunday papers or get lost in a good book. In The Library, there’s always a book of the week waiting to be discovered – the perfect spot to unwind and escape for an hour or two.
Bolding’s Bar
At the heart of The Main House, you’ll find a space made for good company and great drinks. Settle in and share an afternoon bottle, start the evening with a pre-dinner cocktail, and of course, come back later for just one more.
The Terrace Room
A versatile space within The Grain Store. It has a natural feel with timber beams, flagstone floors and glass doors that stretch the full length of the room – bringing the outdoors in. The Terrace Room is part of our restaurant with its own terrace, it’s a private dining room, a fantastic setting for corporate events and meetings, and for special occasions.
Outdoor Spaces
Picture an Italian village square, bistro tables, the clink of glasses, and the hum of conversation. That’s the scene in front of The Grain Store – a place to gather, graze, and let the world go by.
The Games Room
Slip away to The Games Room, where time slows and the games begin. Challenge a friend to chess, try your luck at backgammon, or just settle in with a coffee or an afternoon pint. It’s a place to play, unwind, and escape for a while.

Once a granary and then an artist’s studio, The Grain Store is now our vaulted flint barn restaurant set over two storeys. The Grain Store is a special space full of character, history and atmosphere.
Dogs are welcome
At The Maltings, dogs are always welcome – whether its for a nap by the fire, a spot beside you at dinner, or space in your bedroom for them to sleep. With plenty of space to explore and a warm greeting wherever they go, they’ll feel right at home.

We invite you to meet and break bread with Saima Khan, founder of The Hampstead Kitchen, whose culinary journey has taken her from London to royal residences and global gatherings.
Now settled in her new Norfolk home, Saima brings the Persian tradition of generous hospitality to our table, where strangers become friends over abundant, shared dishes.

It’s the best of North Norfolk. We are situated in the village of Weybourne, you can find us a stone’s throw from the sea. The nearest train station is Sheringham, an 8-minute taxi ride (3.2 mi) via A149. To drive from Holt takes eleven minutes (4.0 mi) via Kelling Rd and Holgate Hill.
